What it's like
Titus sits on the Silverado Trail north of St. Helena, on the quieter side of the valley compared with Highway 29. The visit centers on the Vista Room, a seated, semi-private tasting where you can see the very vines the wines come from while you taste. It is small and focused, rather than a busy bar.
Who it's best for
Cabernet drinkers and people who want a calm hour with a view. The format suits couples and small groups. If you are looking for lots of activities, a big lawn or food service, this is not that kind of stop.
What to book
The Vista Room Experience is $60 per person and takes about an hour. It is a guided, curated selection of Napa Valley wines. One experience fee is waived with a purchase of at least three bottles. Appointments are the norm here, so book through the Visit page on their site before you go. If you cannot find your preferred time, call the winery at 707.963.3235.
As always, plan your transportation: a designated driver, a rideshare or a hired tour keeps the Silverado Trail drive worry-free.
How it fits into a day
Because the experience runs about an hour, it fits easily into a morning or afternoon alongside one or two other stops. The Silverado Trail has a steady run of well-known producers, so it is natural to string a couple together, then come back into St. Helena for lunch. Check the current days and hours on their site before you decide on the rest of the route.
