What it's like

Odette Estate is on Silverado Trail in the Stags Leap District and focuses on Cabernet Sauvignon. It is open daily from 10am to 4pm. The Odette Experience is the main tasting: you sample recent vintages of the Estate and Reserve Cabernet Sauvignons beside the vineyards that produced them, plus Reserve Chardonnay, some wines from its Adaptation line, and a shared cheese plate.

The Odette Collectors Tasting goes further. It opens with a glass of Reserve Chardonnay and a tour of the winery, then moves to a seated tasting of four library vintages of Stags Leap District Estate Cabernet Sauvignon with seasonal bites. The estate is part of the PlumpJack Collection, and a Passport Tasting links it with two other properties in different parts of the valley.

Who it's best for

Cabernet drinkers who like to compare vintages, and groups who want a view and a seat rather than a standing bar. The winery welcomes children and leashed dogs, though wine tasting itself is for guests 21 and older, which is useful to know for families traveling together. Groups of ten or more should email the events team.

Reservations are made online, and the per-person price for each experience is shown at booking, so check the fee for your date. For a relaxed visit choose the Odette Experience; for a deeper, library-focused one choose the Collectors Tasting. Call or email the concierge if you have questions about timing or group size.

Plan on a designated driver, rideshare or private driver; Silverado Trail is busiest later in the day.

How it fits into a day

Odette sits among a cluster of Stags Leap District wineries, so pairing it with Regusci, Quixote or Baldacci is simple. A late-morning tasting, lunch in Yountville and an afternoon second stop makes a full day without much driving.
