What it's like

Frank Family is a well-known Calistoga estate on Larkmead Lane. Visits are by reservation, with a menu that moves from sparkling wine through Chardonnay and Pinot Noir to Cabernet, and several spaces to taste in.

Who it's best for

Cabernet and sparkling lovers who want a choice of formats, and groups celebrating something. All visitors must be at least 21, and pets are not permitted on the property.

Pick one of the seated experiences as your anchor, then follow it with lunch in Calistoga. Larkmead Lane is a short drive from Chateau Montelena and Tank Garage Winery, so a two-stop day is easy. Check current times on their site before you go.
