Dog-friendly wineries in Napa Valley

Plenty of Napa tasting rooms keep a water bowl by the door, but rules vary: some welcome dogs on the patio only, some ask you to book an outdoor table, and a few allow well-behaved dogs inside. These wineries say on their own sites that dogs are welcome somewhere on the property. Call ahead or note it in your reservation, since rules can change with the season or the event calendar.

17 wineries, ranked by guest rating. Details checked against each winery's own site.

Tips before you go

  • Book an outdoor tasting and mention your dog when you reserve.
  • Bring water and a leash; vineyard paths get hot by mid-afternoon in summer.
  • Service animals are welcome everywhere; pet policies are up to each winery.
