Restaurant in Yountville, Napa Valley
Historic building · Wine bar · Design destination
What it's like
RH Yountville is a design gallery and restaurant campus in the Ma(i)sonry building, constructed in 1904 and listed in the National Register of Historic Places. It is as much a place to wander as to eat. The property has a retail gallery, a restaurant, and a separate Wine Vault, each with its own menu, all reached from Washington Street in Yountville.
The restaurant and the Wine Vault both feature California wines and curated dining, but they are different experiences: the restaurant is the sit-down meal, while the Wine Vault is the place for a glass or flight.
Who it's best for
Design-minded travelers, couples looking for a pretty setting, and groups who want a long, easy meal with wine. It also suits anyone who wants to browse before or after eating, since the gallery sits in the same complex.
What to order & how to book
Look at the restaurant menu for the day's offering and pair it with California wines from the list. Reservations for the restaurant are on OpenTable, and the Wine Vault takes reservations through Tock. The team can also be reached at 707.339.4654 or yountville@rh.com. Posted opening times vary by area (gallery, restaurant and Wine Vault) and by weekday versus weekend, with the restaurant generally open through the evening, so check the current hours on their site before you plan around them.
How it fits into a day
It is an easy afternoon-into-evening plan: browse the gallery, have a glass in the Wine Vault, then settle into the restaurant. Yountville is walkable, so you can combine it with a stroll past the other restaurants and the shops on Washington Street. If you are drinking, take a rideshare or arrange a designated driver, or stay overnight in town.
