What it's like
Silverado is a classic resort with room to spread out. It is built around golf, with courses on the property, and layers on tennis and pickleball, a spa, a pool, a fitness area and a handful of restaurants and bars. It feels more like a country club holiday than a boutique stay, and that is the point.
Who it's best for
Golfers, families with kids who need things to do, and groups who want a home base with activities built in. It also suits couples who want a spa weekend and are happy to spend part of it on property. Kids' activities are on offer.
Rooms and amenities
The resort offers rooms and suites, and its own site lists packages such as golf getaways and spa packages. Eating on property ranges from Matchplay Kitchen + Bar and Mansion Bar & Terrace to a market and bakery, Forno Pizza, Boost Cafe and Burgerdog, plus in-room dining. The resort holds a AAA Four Diamond award for 2024.
Where it puts you
The address is on Atlas Peak Road, east of downtown Napa and off the main Highway 29 corridor. That keeps things calm, but you will want a car or rideshare to reach tasting rooms and restaurants in Napa, Yountville or along the Silverado Trail. Book wine appointments ahead and plan a designated driver or a tour for the day.
