What it's like
Signorello is a family-owned, limited-production estate on Silverado Trail, known for Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. There is a modern wine cave on the property, and the outdoor tasting spot, the North Portal Patio, looks out across the valley. The estate focuses on sustainable farming.
The two tastings here are quite different in length and depth, so it is worth deciding which mood you want.
Who it's best for
Guests who want a view with their wine, and Cabernet and Chardonnay drinkers who like a bit of winery access. The shorter patio tasting is a good low-key option, while the longer one suits a special afternoon.
What to book
- Estate Social Tasting, $50 per guest: a relaxed, semi-hosted tasting on the North Portal Patio, with three handcrafted wines and panoramic valley views. Offered daily at 11:00am, 1:00pm and 3:00pm.
- The Legacy Tasting, $125 per guest: a semi-private, limited-seating 90-minute experience that includes a vineyard tour, a look at the winery, barrel tasting in the wine cave and a seated tasting with valley views. Offered daily.
Book through Tock, call 707-255-5990, or email concierge@signorelloestate.com. A 48-hour cancellation policy applies. Private events for 8 to 200 guests can be arranged through the events team.
How it fits into a day
Silverado Trail is the quieter, less crowded road running parallel to Highway 29, and the estate is a straightforward drive from downtown Napa. A morning slot followed by lunch in Napa or Yountville works well, or you can save the 3:00pm patio tasting for late afternoon. Check current times on their site before you go, since slots can change by season.
As with any tasting day, arrange a designated driver, a rideshare or a driver-guided tour before you go.
