Hill Family Estate has two ways to visit: a tasting room on Washington Street in Yountville, and the winery itself on Solano Avenue in Napa. The estate is a long-time farming family, and the Yountville room is the simplest, a short walk from restaurants.
The winery offers vineyard picnics and a seasonal garden tour for a slower visit.

What to book
At the Yountville room, the tasting is $40 per guest, waived with a $100 wine purchase, open Thursday through Monday 11am to 6pm. At the winery, $75 per guest, by appointment at 10am, 12:30pm and 3pm, maximum eight guests. The Secret Garden Tour is June to September at 10:30am. Book on Tock.
As everywhere in the valley, plan on a designated driver, a rideshare, or a tour service, since tastings add up over a day.
How it fits into a day
Use the Yountville room for an afternoon walk-around, or book the winery earlier in the day.
